Pragmatix
A case study in trade placement
The Challenge: Pragmatix, Inc., a software development
& technology consulting firm, provides ultra-secure email, hosting
and e-commerce services to businesses. Under Bill Abram’s
leadership, Pragmatix has implemented a wide range of business processes
and technology improvement solutions for Fortune 500 companies as
well as smaller organizations. The challenge was to get Pragmatix
in front of a wide audience in a variety of industries.
The Solution: In order to reach a variety of
businesses, Co-Communications sought to place bylined articles in
information technology trade publications and secure speaking engagements
for Bill Abram to demonstrate his expertise in a variety of IT-related
areas, including business continuity/disaster recovery, data security,
eCommerce technology, eBusiness hosting, etc.
The Results: As a result of heavy phone and email
pitches, Co-Communications secured coverage in a variety of IT industry
trade media including online, print and broadcast.
Trade media placements include:
- “Riding the E-Learning Curve” in CRN,
“What to know now about Wi-Fi’s hot new standard”
on Microsoft.com/smallbusiness;
- “Disaster recovery Made Easy (Well, sort of)” on
CIOUpdate.com,
- “Is your business flirting with disaster?” on SmartBiz.com,
which also named Bill Abram a “Small Business resource Expert”;
and
- “Weathering the Storm” about disaster recovery in
Small Business Technology Magazine.
Broadcast results include:
- Securing speaking engagements to serve on a panel of IT security
experts to address how to “Stop an Attack Before it Cripples
Your Network: Intrusion Prevention Strategies” at the Ziff
Davis Security Solutions Virtual Trade Show as well as various
engagements at Ziff Davis’ eSeminars, including “Are
You Ready for the Next Disaster? A Smart Data Storage Strategy
is Critical to Business Continuity.”
- Bill also served as an expert for a video by WatchIT, an education
company that produces interactive learning programs, to address
the issues of business continuity and disaster recovery.
- In addition, Bill addressed security issues related to e-commerce
at Contact Advocate's Tech Speak seminar.
